Office applications allow you to perform tasks that are not part of your accounting or payroll system.

These applications can be purchased separately, or you can buy an office "suite."

The most popular of these is Microsoft Office. Depending on the version, it will include some or all of the following components:

  • Presentation package - Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Database - Microsoft Access

Several accounting packages provide links to Microsoft Office. This feature allows you to monitor your business results or operate more efficiently. For example:

-Analyse your figures e.g compare profits or budgets
-Prepare scenarions e.g. what if I changed my mark-up on certain products?
-Send form letters to groups of customers or suppliers

What about training and support?

We can provide training in the various Microsoft Office components.

If you are a beginner, we can demonstrate the capabilities of these applications, and train you in their use.

If you already use them, you are probably only using 20% of their capabilities. You can learn additional features, as well as some shortcuts to make them easier to use.
